#78 Crushed Stone in Tennessee

That makes it useful where drainage is part of the plan, including behind retaining walls and around drainage pipe.

For a permeable paver walk, use #78 Crushed Stone as the bedding material intended to let water pass through the finished surface. Its chips interlock instead of rolling like rounded gravel, while the low-fines makeup keeps the bedding from becoming a dense, closed layer. It is not the choice for a tightly packed finish where fines are needed to bind the surface.
